One of the best ways to attract attention to your channel is a giveaway. People are more likely to pay attention to a promotion when there’s something in it for them, so holding a contest could bring them in droves. The best place to hold your contest is on Instagram.

Here’s how to promote your YouTube channel with an Instagram contest.

1. Determine your own goal.

What do you want to get out of this contest? Do you want more subscribers, or do you want help promoting your latest video? Is it more followers that you need?

Whatever it is that you want out of a contest, the goal is yours to set. The goal you determine will drive the duration of your contest as well as its rules and guidelines.

3. Establish rules and guidelines.

Next, you need to decide how your viewers can enter your contest. In the post that you make to announce your giveaway, spell out all of the rules as clearly as you can. Detail how they can enter, the length of the contest, what the prizes are, and where the winner will be announced.

The most important part of your contest is choosing a winner. Be sure to announce the winner of your giveaway early the day after your contest ends.
