4 Unique Ways to Connect with Your Audience

As a new musician joining a competitive industry, you must have a loyal audience who will stand by you. To grow an audience, put yourself out there in as many ways as you can.

These unique ways will help you connect with your audience.

1. Host an event at local park or community center.

Take advantage of the space around you to be more resourceful and save money. The local community will appreciate the effort that you have put in to create an event that the community can participate in. You will also be rewarded with new people who will be exposed to your musical achievement.

2. Create a hashtag.

Hashtags are one of the main ways that you can engage your followers on social media. Start a creative hashtag that your audience and followers can always relate back to you. If there is a message you want to send, video you want to share, or a concert you want to promote, you can always use your hashtag to bring your audience together.

3. Volunteer to perform at local talent shows, festivals and carnivals.

The best way to build a following is to do things for free. Go to local events and volunteer to perform in small communities. By going to local hospitals, senior homes and shelters it also shows that you care about the world and are willing to give back to the community. If you spread love to your audience, your audience will show love to you.

4.  Create campaigns.

It is always important to think of new ways to relate your audience back to your musical content. By hosting contests, giveaways and challenges that relate to your music, you are sure to get your audience’s attention.  When creating a campaign, make sure that the campaign relates to your music.

It is important to be genuine and relatable in creating a following and building your audience. Obtaining an audience will be very rewarding in your musical career.
