Satire is always a strong comedic strategy; use it, but use it intelligently.
2. Create a parody.
Vogue’s video on Margot Robbie’s beauty routine is a perfect parody of the popular 90s cult film, American Psycho. The video takes existing material and repurposes it to create something new and hilarious.
When making videos, parodies are always a surefire way to grab your audience’s attention and get them to laugh.
3. Exaggerate real life.
Vogue’s video on Amanda Seyfried exaggerates an aspect of her real life; her relationship with her dog. The video depicts Seyfried and her dog, Finn, having what appear to be conversations; Seyfried asks Finn for his opinion on her outfits, they play a card game together, etc.
