Use A Metronome: Ah, the age-old device keeping musicians on beat. To make sure your playing is consistent, match your timing with a metronome. After you’re comfortable playing, start humming at the same time. If doing this affects your pattern, keep on practicing.
Keep It Simple: Don’t make this process harder than it needs to be. There are tons of famous songs that only use 3 to 4 chords. Keep your playing simple so you can concentrate on singing. Over-complicating will lead to frustration.
Edit the Rhythm: When you’re too focused on singing, the instrument might follow along. Try adapting your high note by playing the same key. You might find it easier to practice this way. Another tip is to find where the lyrics match the melody. Keeping key points in mind will help speed up the learning process.
