How PewDiePie Became The Channel With The Most Subscribers

In 2011, Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie left college and ended up focusing on his YouTube channel. During 2012, he reached one million subscribers, and now has the most subscribers on YouTube with over 53 million.

How did PewDiePie become the most subscribed channel on YouTube in less than five years?
.
1. People enjoy his content.

PewDiePie, for the most part, posts videos of games that he plays along with his commentary about the game. In a society so involved in gaming, viewers love watching other people play the games they love, especially when the commentator is funny.

2. He is honest with his commentary.

When he is making jokes in his videos, he does not try to censor himself. He is honest and says whatever he likes, which fans truly enjoy. This, however, brings some controversy, but he is okay with it, and so are his viewers (which there are a lot of).

3. He has plenty of content.

Over the years, PewDiePie has posted a lot of videos. On his channel, he has nearly 3,500 videos. So, if someone does not know what to watch on YouTube, PewDiePie has plenty of content that he or she can look at.

A year after PewDiePie started focusing on his videos, he reached one million subscribers. Five years later, he has the most subscribers on YouTube with over 53 million. He did this by posting content that people like watching, not holding back when it comes to his commentary, and by posting enough that people will always have something to watch.
