How to Use Election Season to Create Video Content

Election day is right around the corner and it is one of the most controversial of all time. This season is a great time to produce relevant content to increase views.

With the results coming in soon, here are a few ways to use the election-before and after the results- to create material for your YouTube channel.

1. Create something funny.

A dubbed over video which changed the third presidential debate into Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump performing Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes’s song, “Time of My Life,” went viral within hours. This election has been stressful and difficult for many Americans, and it isn’t harmful to try make light of the situation every once and awhile.

This election season, before and after the results, don’t hesitate to be silly and make something fun out of a high intensity situation.

2. Provide your viewers with useful information.

Although most Americans have strong opinions regarding the two presidential candidates, a considerable percentage of them were actually unaware of how the system of presidential election actually operates.

This election season, create videos that can teach your viewers something useful, something that they might not have known before.

3. Voice your personal opinion.

As always, when creating videos, do not be afraid to be honest and voice your own opinion. This can be difficult during times like election season because differing political opinions can sometimes cause conflict. However, don’t let the views of others deter you from explaining your own.

Listen to the opinions of others, but voice your personal opinion as well.

This election season, and always, remember to provide your viewers with useful information, be honest about your opinions, and make your viewers laugh.
