Learning the basics of singing can also give you a natural tuner in your voice, as well as help you figure out the notes you need to find when writing new music.
Learning one instrument is a challenging process that can take years. Learning three seems like an impossibility, but it is not. It is definitely doable, and every musician should learn to be proficient in quite a few instruments. The above three are the most common instruments played in most music today.
