How to Incorporate Christmas Into Any Channel

Christmas is coming, and YouTubers are taking advantage of the worldwide holiday. It’s no secret that YouTubers love to make videos based on the season or upcoming holiday. Why? Because it a marketing strategy for them to require more views and subscribers; and because it’s fun!

No matter what type or channel you have, you can easily incorporate Christmas into your videos.

1. Try Vlogmas!

Every vlogger on YouTube has either tried or is aware of Vlogmas. Vlogmas is vlogging yourself everyday starting December 1st, until Christmas day. Viewers love Vlogmas because they get to see some of their favorite YouTubers more often.

YouTubers share their Christmas shopping, decorations, family time, and more! There’s a reason most people say Christmastime is their favorite time of the year, and YouTubers who do Vlogmas can share that joy with their viewers.

2. Apply Christmas to your DIYs and home decor.

If you have a DIY or home decor channel, you can’t pass up making Christmas themed videos. A huge part of Christmas is decorating the house for the holidays!

Use the holiday months to inspire amazing DIYs that your viewers will love. Viewers love DIYs and the holidays; if you combine those two, you can’t go wrong.

3. Make a Christmas skit.

Even if your channel is comedy based, you can still incorporate Christmas to your channel. Create a hilarious Christmas skit that your viewers will love. You can think of a totally original idea, or find inspiration from Christmas movies.

In the YouTube video below, IISuperwomanII made a skit titled “How My Mother Stole Christmas” which is a play on words from How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

4. Do a cover of a Christmas song.

If you’re a singer on YouTube, it would be a smart and fun choice to do a cover of a Christmas song. Every winter a famous artist comes out with a Christmas album, so why not make a cover of one of those songs?

You can stick with the classics like “White Christmas” or “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” Or you can do a cover of more recent songs, like Ariana Grande’s “Winter Things,” or Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe.”

5. Give people gift-giving advice.

If you have a fashion/product based channel, you can give your expertise on gift-giving. People love to receive gifts, but giving gifts can be a challenge. It can be hard to think of the perfect gift for your loved ones, no matter how well you know them.

If you make a video giving great advice on the perfect gifts, viewers will flock to your channel. Take advantage of the holiday season and share your shopping expertise.

There’s no denying that Christmas is heavily marketed in stores, on TV, and on the internet. As a YouTuber wanting to grow your channel, making a few Christmas videos is definitely a smart choice!
