How To Stay Motivated When Creating Your Videos

If you have other responsibilities in your life, keeping up with your weekly video goals can get very tough. You may find yourself stressed in balancing your life with your passion. If your channel isn’t growing at the rate you wish it was, you may have trouble staying motivated to create amazing new content. Don’t give up though! Stay motivated, and you’ll succeed!

Here are three tips to help you stay motivated!

1. Search YouTube for answers, tips, or ideas.

There is no shame in asking for help, and what better place to look than YouTube itself! It’s better to search for an answer to your question than to immediately give up. Being a content creator on YouTube requires a lot of thought and heart, and it’s alright to need a little assistance every now and then. It will definitely help you stay motivated when you find all the videos at your disposal.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of videos that you can search for to help, no matter your question. There are videos about video ideas, tips for any technical problem you could imagine, and even help videos on how to search for help videos.

2. Join a community for YouTubers.

Joining a community chat, forum, or group online is a great way to get in touch with other content creators. It doesn’t have to be through YouTube. You can find one through any chat website or app that you are a part of, like Facebook, Kik, Twitter, Tumblr, or Instagram. Talking to other content creators will help you stay motivated and stay on task as well!

Don’t hesitate to reach out to other vloggers, but make sure they create the same type of videos that you do. This prevents any difficulty in finding ideas, or even just talking to others about what you enjoy most about making your videos. It also is a great way to expand the reach of your channel in a positive way.

3. Try something new and daring.

This may make some of you shake in your seats, but don’t be afraid! Maybe that one idea that you were too scared to try for months is your next big break. There’s nothing like trying something you’ve never done before to shake things up. It doesn’t need to be something as crazy as jumping out of a plane. Filming a vlog about a day in your life or doing a collaboration with someone new are both great ways to push out of your comfort zone.

If there’s nothing that really comes to mind, be on the lookout for new ideas. No matter how crazy or how terrible, write them down on your phone, a piece of paper, or even the back of a receipt. Just write them down. You won’t remember later, so it’s important to write or type it down while it’s fresh in your head.

Sometimes life gets busy, or writer’s block gets the best of us. With that, your motivation and drive to create videos may go down, but don’t let it.  If you get stuck, remember these three tips for staying motivated. Google questions you may have, reach out to other vloggers, and don’t be afraid to try something new!
