How To Grow on YouTube This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving can be a busy time of year in the United States; relatives come into town, people take the day off of work, there is football, cooking, celebration, etc. This season, use Thanksgiving to your advantage when making YouTube videos.

Here are a few ways how:

1. Use humor.

Because of all of the traditions associated with Thanksgiving, it can become a high pressure holiday. Using humor can be a fun way to relieve some of that pressure and focus on better things. When creating new videos, especially during holiday seasons, you should always try to make your viewers laugh (bonus points if you can turn a humorous video into a series to continue the next season, like this one by YouTuber Ryan Higa).

2. Teach something.

Thanksgiving season is rife with cooking tutorials and other fun, season craft ideas. If you have something you can teach your audience, doing so will always make for a good, informative video that viewers will be glad to have watched.

3. Be knowledgeable about the past.

Although Thanksgiving is thought of as a time of celebration, it does have an unfortunate and somewhat shameful history. When making videos, always remember to be culturally sensitive and respect the history behind events and celebrations; Thanksgiving and its history are good reminders of this.

This holiday season use humor, tutorials, and historical sensitivity when creating videos.
