1) Somo – Don’t become an artist of habit. When you practice mix it up a bit, do something crazy or strange. It’s just practice and this will keep your songs from getting stale.

2) Metric – Pick your music teachers and practice partners carefully. Make sure to surround yourself with people you can really learn and grow from.

3) Kill the Noise – Change your scenery often. Learn new software, new instruments, new sounds. Listen to artists you never would have heard before. You never know what’s the next thing that will inspire you.
